Blue Turquoise Gradient Nails

This is a tutorial showing how to use the gradient nail effect to get this blue turquoise design :)

1)

For this design you will need two blue nail varnishes, one dark and one lighter. I used Rimmel 60 Seconds #825 Sky High and Rimmel Lasting Finish #198 Azure. You will also need a flat piece of sponge (bathroom, make up, cleaning any kind will do), a toothpick or pencil and some cling film/tin foil.

2)

Start by painting all your nails with your lighter shade of blue and allow them to dry completely.

3)

Smoothly lay out some cling film or tin foil on a flat surface then paint a generous amount of each of your shades side by side - just touching on one side. Then take your toothpick or pencil and gently swirl them together in the middle to create a blended effect.

4)

Take your sponge and press it firmly onto the colours so that a good amount is absorbed into it in order to cover all your nails. Then press the sponge onto each of your nails one by one.

5)

Your nails should look something like this after you have pressed the sponge onto each of them. Use some acetone/nail polish remover and a cotton bud to clean up the messy edges around and under your nails. Then to make it smoother you can paint a clear top coat on :)

And this is the finished blue turquoise gradient nail design :)
